MAIS UMA LEITURA "RECOMENDADA" PARA OS "GUARDAS DO TEMPLO"

BERGEN, NORWAY.-Five different museums can now be experienced from one and the same website. Art Museums of Bergen now launches the website kunstmuseeneibergen.no, which is derived from the Norwegian name of the new foundation for art museums in the Bergen region. Here you can find news and information about current and upcoming events for pictorial art, design and music.

‘We are excited to finally see the consolidation on the Internet. Since the five museums are not physically connected, the website is where we can present ourselves jointly’, says Anniken Thue, director of Art Museums of Bergen.

Joint newsletter - The five museums allow the public to subscribe to a free, joint e-mail newsletter where they can be kept up to date on the latest exhibition news and be informed about art and musical events.

‘We know that those who are interested in music are often also interested in design and visual and decorative art, and vica versa. Now we are launching an e-newsletter that will enable the public can gain an overview of all five institutions and what they are up to’, says Unni Irmelin Kvam, web editor for Art Museums of Bergen.

‘We use colour codes for the five museums, so they are easy to distinguish from each other’, says Kvam.

‘Although excerpts from the five museums are published on Internet, remember that ‘a museum is best experienced at the museum!’ interjects Anniken Thue.

The museums included in Art Museums of Bergen are Edvard Grieg Museum Troldhaugen, Siljustøl Museum, Lysøen Museum, Permanenten: The West Norway Museum of Decorative Art, and Bergen Art Museum.
